Who is Regé-Jean Page?
The actor, 30, was born in Harare, Zimbabwe in 1990, and he’s the son of a nurse and English preacher.
His family moved to London when he was 14. During this time he ended up playing in a punk rock band, singing and playing the drums.
In an interview with Square Mile, Regé revealed he still likes to make music with his brother in his downtime.
He first began acting at Saturday drama school before studying at Drama Centre London, whose alumni include Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth.
What has Rege-Jean Page starred in?
Regé’s first TV roles were in Casualty, Fresh Meat and Waterloo road, while he also starred in films such as Survivor and The Merchant of Venice opposite Jonathan Pryce.
After moving to Los Angeles, he bagged the role of Chicken George in the 2016 miniseries of Roots, based on Alex Haley’s famous seminal novel Roots: The Saga of an American Family.
Regé then went on to make his first appearance in a Shonda Rhimes production playing Leonard Knox in legal drama, For the People.
The actor can be seen in films such as Mortal Engines and Sylvie’s Love, which also stars Tessa Thompson.
Bridgerton is available to stream on Netflix from Christmas Day, December 25.
