I‘m A Celebrity South Africa 2023 has seen cherished former campmates return to the ITV blockbuster series.
However, the stars who are being put through their paces in Ant and Dec‘s show Bushtucker Trials are being whittled down because there can only be one King or Queen of the Jungle.
Among the celebs flown out to the Kruger National Park were Andy Whyment, Jordan Banjo, Phil Tufnell, Georgia Toffolo, Paul Burrell, Shaun Ryder, and Carol Vorderman.
I’m A Celebrity guests included Myleene Klass, Dean Gaffney, Joe Swash, Janice Dickinson, Amir Khan, Gillian McKeith, Fatima Whitbread, and Helen Flanagan.
But who is still in the running for the throne in I’m A Celebrity 2023? Let’s take a look at who has already been voted out.
Who has left I’m A Celebrity South Africa 2023?
Gillian McKeith
After epically failing a survival test, Gillian and Shaun became the first celebrities to be thrown off I’m A Celebrity.
The assignment required the Scottish star to remove spanners from boxes loaded with strange monsters in order to loosen the shackles, and he failed to get past the first one.
Following her departure, Gillian stated that her time on the show had been “a very positive experience.”
‘It was simply a different vibe going into camp this time,’ she explained.
‘Everyone looked to be incredibly open and eager to get along. There was no negativity, and everything seemed pleasant from the moment I arrived.
‘Everyone wanted to get along. I could tell it was a totally different experience than in 2010.’
The dietician had misunderstood the term “contraband,” and was caught twice bringing things into camp in a condom and a special pair of panties.
Shaun Ryder
Shaun from Happy Mondays was furious when Gillian arrived late in the South African wilderness, saying, ‘Gillian arrived in a box, she should have stayed in the box.’
While tensions were high, the musician and Gillian made amends when he unexpectedly chose her as his survival challenge partner.
Given that Gillian spent more time yelling than working, Shaun may have made the incorrect option, but they still had their newfound relationship.
‘I’m a bit of a slow learner to say the least, so it takes me a while to adapt, but I loved it,’ he said as he left the bush.
‘Whilst you’re at it and doing it, you don’t realise and I was thinking once I left, god yeah there were some great moments in there. I was over the moon.’
I’m A Celebrity is available to watch on ITV and ITVX.
