Prepare to feel ancient, because Ginny Weasley is expecting!
That is, the actress who portrayed her.
Bonnie Wright, the 32-year-old actress who portrayed the Weasley sister in the Harry Potter films, is expecting her first child.
The actress cradled her baby belly in the cutest photos to announce the exciting news.
‘We’re having a baby!’ she said on Instagram, standing with her husband Andrew Lococo in front of breathtaking scenery. I’m really happy to show them around this wonderful land.
‘What a wild and humbling journey pregnancy is, transforming to make space for new life.
‘Andrew and I can’t wait to meet our baby later this year and become parents 🥹🌈
‘It feels like they’re coming to say hello in the little rainbow orb across my belly’.
‘Aaaaah another Weasley,’ one admirer said lovingly in the comments.
‘Its Hogwarts all over again! First Daniel, Now You! Congratulations!’, another penned.
Scarlett Hefner, who portrayed Slytherin house member Pansy Parkinson, and on-screen brother James Phelps were also happy for the newlyweds.
Scarlett wrote: ‘Congratulations to you both! So exciting’, while James wrote: ‘Congratulations.’
A new generation has arrived, as main actor Daniel Radcliffe announced this week that he and long-term wife Erin Darke had also had their first child.
Bonnie and Andrew married last year, and the actress announced their wedding by releasing photographs of their rings, calling it ‘the finest day of my life.’
Just a month before their wedding, the London-born actress relocated to Los Angeles to live with Andrew.
It’s unclear how long the parents-to-be have been dating, although they first revealed their courtship online in February 2020.
From 2011 to 2012, she was engaged to co-star Jamie Campbell Bower, before moving on to date former Glee actor Jacob Artist and entrepreneur Simon Hammerstein.
After playing Ginny across 10 years, Bonnie continued acting.
She also took on other projects, such as directing and activism, as she’s especially passionate about the environment.
