As Wednesday star Emma Myers discovered, becoming a werewolf is no easy task.
Enid Sinclair (played by Emma) is introduced in the Netflix series as the polar opposite of the eponymous character Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) – a vivacious student who’s brimming with energy, colour, and effusive hugs.
The Nevermore Academy student is revealed to be a werewolf, although she has yet to ‘wolf out’ during the full moon like the rest of her family, whom viewers meet in the show’s sixth episode.
The 20-year-old revealed out about the preparation that went into adopting werewolf-like characteristics during an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
‘Was there werewolf training?’ Jimmy asked Emma, to which she replied affirmatively that there was.
‘I’m being serious,’ the 48-year-old host added, as she responded: ‘No I’m being serious too.’
The Glades actress then shed further light on what her werewolf training entailed, explaining: ‘We did this werewolf bootcamp one time, because episode six, where the parents come and all the family comes, I had four or five brothers and they really had to get them into the werewolf spirit.
‘So they asked me to come in and do werewolf bootcamp and I was like, “Ok, what does this mean?”’
She continued, stressing: ‘I have never done so much parkour in my life.’
‘It was me running on the floor on all fours, leaping over things. These stunt guys were telling you to be sheep and we would crawl around them in a circle,’ she recalled, as Jimmy and the studio audience laughed.
‘Mum, were you there on set for this?’ Jimmy asked Emma’s mother incredulously, who was also sitting in the audience.
Despite the huge success of the Addams Family spin-off, it was recently reported that Wednesday season two would leave Netflix.
Nonetheless, this rumour has subsequently been debunked, with a source telling IndieWire that a deal between Netflix and MGM has been reached.
Jenna has revealed her desire for Wednesday and Enid to date amid fan speculation, telling Pride, ‘In a perfect world, [Wednesday and Enid] would have been a thing.’
Wednesday is available to watch on Netflix.
