After allegations that Amazon Prime Video had ‘broken connections’ with Jeremy Clarkson due to his disgusting Meghan Markle comments, two new seasons of James May programmes have been revealed.
The Clarkson’s Farm vocalist, 62, sparked outrage in December when he said he ‘hated’ the Duchess of Sussex on a ‘cellular level’ and fantasised about her being paraded through the streets and ridiculed.
Later, it was revealed that Amazon Video had split company with the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? presenter, and that the streaming service would no longer collaborate with the TV personality beyond the seasons of The Grand Tour and Clarkson’s Farm that had already been commissioned.
While the accusations have yet to be proven, it has since been stated that Clarkson’s Top Gear co-star May has two future shows on the streaming service, with a third season of Clarkson’s Farm on the way.
James May: Our Man in… is back for a third season, with May heading to India as his next destination. The show will premiere in early 2024, with production now underway.
Now, a second season of Oh Cook! has been set for May 24, with the host continuing his gastronomical exploits in the kitchen as he seeks to prepare cuisines from across the world.
Oh, Cook! demonstrates once again that you don’t have to be a culinary magician to prepare good cuisine.
May’s journey from kitchen klutz to capable cook will be continued in the series, as he takes on the world’s most mouthwatering dishes and masters the tricks that can make good food great, using ingredients you can buy at your local supermarket and all without the usual television-cooking-format trickery.
‘I’ve been to India before, and it’s mesmerising. I can’t wait to go back for Series Three of Our Man In…,’ said May.
‘And for Oh Cook! fans, it’s also the perfect opportunity to perfect my daal.’
Oh Cook! returns to Prime Video on May 24 while James May: Our Man In India will launch in early 2024.
