Many are perplexed by Love Island star Jack Keating’s pregnancy announcement, given that he was in the villa less than nine months ago.
The reality TV personality, who is the son of musician Ronan Keating, announced on Thursday that he was a first-time father.
Jack, 23, one of Casa Amor 2022’s bombshells, left the villa shortly after arriving in July after none of the initial islanders opted to partner up with him.
Last week, he captioned a black-and-white snapshot of himself holding his child, ‘Welcome to the world, my little [princess emoji].’
He refused to reveal the identify of his baby’s mother.
While there were many encouraging responses on his post, including from previous Islanders Paige Thorne, Luca Bish, and Danica Taylor, there were also others who questioned when his daughter could have been conceived, given that Jack was only in the villa for eight months.
‘I know I’m bad at maths, but the math ain’t mathing on this at all!!! Love Island isn’t even 9 months ago yet. I mean I know accidents happen but….,’ one person wrote.
‘I’m so confused. The maths isn’t adding up,’ another added.
Earlier this month Jack acknowledged he was single and stated he was ‘ready to mingle’.
‘I’m on Hinge, but I don’t use it too seriously. I dip in every once in a while and I’m enjoying being single,’ he told The Independent.
He added: ‘People think my account is fake. I’m verified, but they still believe I’m a catfish who’s stolen someone else’s photos. I’m like: “Trust me – I’m the real deal”.’
Jack also stated that he has agreed to appear on Dinner Dates, with the programme set to air later this month.
‘Filming took a couple of weeks and I met some nice girls and ate some nice food, so it was a full experience,’ he said.
Ronan, 46, is a father of five children, and this is his first grandchild.
Storm, his second wife and Jack’s stepmother, responded with a sequence of loving emojis beneath the message.
The Irish singer has three children with his ex-wife, Yvonne Connolly, including Jack, 22, and Ali, 17.
Yvonne wrote on her son’s post: ‘I miss her so much already’.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
