Love Island’s Anna-May Robey has predicted that the impending reunion would be an explosive event, despite the fact that everything looked to be falling apart due to the group WhatsApp being silent.
Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan were declared as the season’s champions earlier this week, taking home not just the title but also the £50,000 prize money.
Yet, there was plenty of drama and sadness along the road as the Islanders’ ties and friendships came and went.
Anna-May has predicted that things would ‘take off’ once they are all together.
‘I’m so excited to see everyone at the reunion next week, maybe things could change,’ she said.
‘I feel like a few things might be said, or some things might kick off in the reunion,’ she added when speaking to The Mirror.
‘Especially if we’ve got a little bit of an afterparty.’
She discussed the tension that arose when Will Young called Casey O’Gorman a “snake” and a “liar” in a recent interview.
‘I feel like he’s saying it in a jokey way but he’s not joking,’ she said.
‘I do think he’s quite irritated by it.’
She also predicted that the reunion will result in awkward moments and conflicts among the Islanders.
‘The thing is with the reunion, ITV obviously sees that so they’re probably going to sit them next to each other just to get a bit of TV out of it, they’re so, so clever – if you didn’t want anything to happen, you wouldn’t say it,’ she said.
These remarks came after Anna-May released information regarding the group’s WhatsApp chat, which looks to be stalled.
Earlier this week, she stated that despite appearing to be a close-knit group, many Islanders had already removed themselves from the conversation.
She said: ‘We do have a WhatsApp group but it’s not really been going off very much,’ she said.
‘Everybody’s kind of gone their separate ways already – or maybe there’s a divide.’
While Anna-May said she was on ‘good terms’ with each cast member, she singled out Ellie Spence, Zara Lackenby-Brown and Olivia Hawkins as the people she was the closest to.
When Anna-May originally arrived at the villa, she was matched with Haris Namani before being placed with Kai.
She was sent packing after little over a week when Aussie bombshell newcomers Aaron Waters and Jessie Wynter elected to cut her stint short.
Love Island is streaming on ITVX.
