Airbnb provides some of the most popular, historical, and world-class accommodations for visitors from all over the world.
In the accommodation site, two houses are seldom alike. In fact, some are so one-of-a-kind that they may merit the craziest stay you’ve ever had.
Airbnb has prepared a list of 300 of its most extraordinary homes to honour these, including a Cold War-era missile tower, a serpent-inspired residence, and a vertebrae-resonant property.
The unusual locations may be found all over the world, including Mexico, the United States, and even the United Kingdom.

Kellogg Doolittle house, California
The Kellogg Doolittle home in California is one of the most unusual-looking buildings you’ll ever see, named for its architect Kendrick Bangs Kellogg and the artist Bev Doolittle who commissioned it.
The cast-concrete vertebral structure residence is 4,643 square feet in size and took 20 years to construct.
This location is in a tranquil region of the Joshua Tree National Park, about an hour’s drive from Palm Springs.
The house contains three bedrooms, a hot tub, an outside bar, a wood fireplace, and six parking spaces.
If you’re a history buff looking for anything from the Cold War, this missile silo is also available on Airbnb.
You will be allowed to remain in this property’s living quarters, which are located in the launch control centre that leads to a 186-foot missile silo near Roswell, New Mexico.
Twelve intercontinental ballistic missile silos like these were completed in 1961, but the programme was terminated just a few years later when liquid-fueled rockets became more widespread.
The upper level of this control centre has been transformed into a residence and office, including literature and exhibits on American missile history.
The Aura House, Bali
Given the magnificent accommodations available, it’s no wonder that Bali makes the list. The Aura House is a bamboo construction located in the Indonesian tourism district.

Birdbox, Norway
But why waste all that room when you can live in a cube?
These eco-friendly hotel-like pods are located in rural locations around Norway.
This one is at Gaular, on the west coast of Norway, near to the Norwegian Sea. A queen-sized bed and windows on three of the cube’s faces provide a direct view of two peaks, Storehesten and Lillehesten, which are roughly 1,000 metres above sea level.
The bad news is that the toilet is located outside the grounds, in a separate facility. Also, the nearest grocery is a 15-minute drive away in a neighbouring town.
