Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills have disputed allegations that they are divorcing.
On Monday, it was heavily anticipated that the reality stars, who have been married for 27 years, were going their own ways with a source telling People that their breakup was ‘amicable’.
‘Kyle and Mauricio have been separated for a time now but are still living under the same roof,’ the insider stated to the tabloid. They are still friendly while they figure out what is next for them and their family.’
Kyle, 53, and Mauricio, 54, have denied divorce speculations in a joint statement, however they have conceded their marriage has been particularly ‘difficult’ this year.
They commented on Instagram, ‘In relation to the news that came out about us today…’ Any claims that we are divorcing are false.
‘However, yes, we have had a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously.
‘There has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part. Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through parishes privately.
‘While it might be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative.’
Before signing off, they added: ‘Thank you for the love and support.’
Kyle and Mauricio married in 1996 after meeting two years earlier in a nightclub.
Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15, are their three kids; Kyle has Farrah Brittany, 34, from her first marriage to Guraish Aldjufrie.
Mauricio stated earlier this year that the pair was not divorcing when Kyle was photographed without her wedding band.
‘We’re not getting divorced,’ he said on Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave and Tamra Judge’s podcast Two T’s In a Pod in April.
He added: ‘I mean, it’s so dumb. That one stupid story that came out there, and then the girls all, you know, decided to talk about it on the Housewives, and so now it’s a storyline.’
