Shane Richie believes the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! should be in Australia, admitting that he thinks the repeated format will take ‘specialness’ away from the previous series.
The 57-year-old soap star, who finished fourth in last year’s series, was one of many stars to experience castle life at Gwrych castle for the first time.
Over the years, I’m a Celeb viewers became used to seeing a fresh batch of celebs in Australia take on a number of dangerous gruesome tasks, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the show is back in Wales for a second year.
Speaking to The Sun, Shane revealed that he wasn’t expecting series 21 to be in the same location as before
He said: ‘We thought it was going to be a one-off for the 20th anniversary and it won’t happen ever again in Wales.
‘But once they announced they were going back to Wales it took a bit of the specialness off of it.’
13 celebrities who are supposedly set to feature on the show were recently revealed, and it’s looking like a great line-up.
With excitement for the show mounting, it won’t be long before fans will officially find out exactly who’s going to appear this year.
People across the nation are eagerly waiting to find out who will be taking on the Bushtucker Trials on the new series of I’m A Celeb, with individuals including Richard Madeley, Frankie Bridge and Louise Minchin rumoured to be on the show.
Both Snoochie Shy and DJ Locksmith have been sharing photos and videos of themselves living in a mystery location – further fuelling rumours that they are indeed part of this year’s line-up.
The nation’s favourite Geordie duo, Ant and Dec, will once again be hosting the ITV reality show.
I’m A Celebrity returns to ITV on November 21.
