Gordon Ramsay’s next food show has been cancelled by the BBC, only weeks after his ITV show was cancelled.
Gordon Ramsay’s Future Food Stars will not return for a third season, according to TV Zone, due to low ratings, with none of the episodes hitting two million viewers.
‘Gordon is tremendously competitive, and he’s unhappy the series wasn’t allowed a second run,’ a source told the newspaper.
‘These types of shows always take a while to get going and for viewers to connect, so he thinks it wasn’t really given a proper chance.
‘But he accepts TV is a brutal world and sometimes shows just don’t work out.’
Gordon Ramsay’s Future Food Stars premiered in 2022, following the chef as he searched for one food and drink entrepreneur to invest £150,000 in.
The 12 contestants were put through a variety of challenges to determine their tenacity, devotion, enthusiasm, and ability, including diving into caverns and delivering meals on a high-wire hanging 1,000 feet above the earth.
The cancellation of the show comes only weeks after it was announced that Gordon’s ITV show Next Level Chef was also cancelled owing to low viewership.
A spokesman for ITV said at the time: ‘There are no current plans for a second series but viewers can watch series one on ITVX.’
