The latest episode of Gogglebox left the stars of the show and the rest of us reaching for the sick bucket after witnessing a woman and a duck engaging in an intimate act.
During the latest episode – which premiered on Friday April 22 – the families were getting ready to tune into the Apple TV Plus series titled Roar, a feminist anthology starring Nicole Kidman.
The show is based on a book of short stories by Cecelia Ahern, including one called The Woman Who Was Fed By A Duck, and in one scene of that short story a woman and a duck share an private moment.
In the disturbing clip Elisa (Merritt Wever) is seduced and eventually pleasured orally by the bird.
Yes… you read that correctly!
For those familiar with Harry Styles’ Watermelon Sugar – it’s safe to say this tune would have been appropriate background music.
And the television watchdog has reported 149 complaints in relation to the ahem… unusual act.
It is not yet clear whether an investigation will be launched.
The cast of the beloved Channel 4 show were completely disgusted (rightfully so) by the shocking scenes.
Couple Giles and Mary seemed pretty concerned with the technicalities of the situation.
‘The duck can’t physically…’ questioned Giles, while Mary assured him: ‘Well he can, he can use his beak as a penetrative tool.’
‘Wtf am I witnessing right now??????’ one person tweeted.
While another added: ‘Imagine being an actress, reading that script and then agreeing to the part?!?!?’
Actress Merritt, 41, recently shared her thoughts over the x-rated scene, but said she was more concerned about the public’s reaction.
‘I’m nervous about it, honestly,’ she told Radio Times. ‘I’m nervous to hear how it is received. I’m scared.’
Gogglebox airs Fridays from 9pm on Channel 4.
