Daniel Radcliffe startled several of his admirers by stripping down to his pants and flaunting his muscular body.
The Harry Potter star, 34, emerged in just a pair of white underwear for the season four finale of his TBS show Miracle Workers in America, leaving Emma Watson and Rupert Grint as Hermione and Ron a world away.
The actor was seen shouting and sticking his tongue out as he fought against robot combatants in the sequence, continuing his well-earned reputation for taking unexpected parts and committing fully.
He also donned an old pair of leather boots and a pair of fingerless leather gloves, which were perhaps rather sensible in this case to protect his hands throughout all the robot tearing apart.
New father Daniel, who had a newborn son with long-term wife Erin Darke, 38, in April, has had a varied career since leaving Potter, playing in films such as Swiss Army Man (as a reanimated corpse, of course), Weird: The Al Jankovic Story, and adventure film The Lost City with Sandra Bullock.
Since 2019, he has appeared in all four seasons of Miracle Workers, playing new characters in the anthology series each time.
He played road warrior Sid in the most recent season, who lives in a post-nuclear apocalyptic world, but he has also played a reverend named Ezekiel Brown on the Oregon Trail, Prince Chauncley the Pretty Cool in the dark ages-set second season, and an angel named Craig Bog in his first appearance on the show.
He co-stars with Steve Buscemi, Geraldine Viswanathan, Jon Bass, Karan Soni, and Lolly Adefope in the ensemble cast.
Daniel is no stranger to stripping nude, having done so with Jungle co-stars Alex Russell and Joel Jackson in 2017, as well as appearing naked on stage in Equus in 2007.
His most recent appearance has also left fans clamouring for him to be cast in a specific role after the original star retires.
‘This is the final drop right. Anyone who tells me Daniel Radcliffe isn’t playing Wolverine in the MCU, better have a convincing reason,’ announced one fan after watching the Miracle Workers season four finale.
‘After seeing Daniel Radcliffe go feral and hump a robot’s corpse in Miracle Workers, he is the only logical choice for an MCU Wolverine,’ added another.
‘Daniel Radcliffe should definitely get a screen test for Wolverine. I really believe he could do it and give an AMAZING performance that would thrill and satisfy comic fans, new and old(er),’ echoed someone else.
Hugh Jackman, 54, rose to prominence as Logan/Wolverine in the 2000 film X-Men and went on to reprise the role several times.
He had already left the role following the fairly, hmm, conclusive finale to 2017’s Logan.
However, he has been enticed to reprise role in friend Ryan Reynolds’ forthcoming Deadpool 3.
After then, the stage might be set for a new performer to take the reins.
