Each of us has a preferred method for putting on a bra, whether it’s the back-to-front approach or the stretch-behind manoeuvre.
However, a specialist has cautioned that some of the most used methods may really be harmful to our intimate apparel.
Instead, there is a so-called ‘correct’ way to do it.
Kelly, an employee of Janice Rose Lingerie, shot a video demonstration of different methods for putting on a bra in order to determine the most effective.
Some common missteps include buckling the straps before putting it on, stepping into it like a pair of pants, donning it like a T-shirt, and turning it inside out.
All of those are a solid ‘no’ from Kelly.
She advises that, to extend the life of the bra, you should put it on by hooking the straps behind your back.
It may take some practise to get the hang of, but in the long run, you’ll save your bra from unnecessary yanks and prods.
It might be difficult or impossible for people with mobility impairments or poor hand-eye coordination to use this approach to put on a bra.
A troll put it in her ear: “Janice The previous method is out of the question because of my physical limitations.
Another person chimed in, “The twist has never failed me.” This was echoed by several others.
Janice’s idea was met with the response, “No, that’s the toughest way to put it on,” from another woman.
In the end, you should do what seems right to you.
