Vicky Pattinson provided a very thrilled update on her egg freezing journey, admitting she had been ‘feeling absolutely every single emotion’ in the days leading up to the appointment.
The former Geordie Shore actress, 35, suffered a setback in January when an ovarian cyst thwarted her plans to store her eggs.
She revealed at the time that she sobbed all day after learning that her reproductive treatment would be ‘wasted’ if it went through owing to physicians needing to remove the cyst beforehand.
However, Vicky said on Wednesday that the cyst has been removed, which means she and fiancé Ercan Ramadan, 38, are ‘now able to take our next steps to being kids one day’.
Prior to her visit to the clinic, the podcast presenter took to Instagram to claim she was ‘feeling a whole lot of emotions,’ with a fresh-faced photo on her Stories.
Vickey returned that afternoon, sharing a teary photo from the car to her page as she announced the good news.
‘For those of you who’ve been following my egg freezing journey, you’ll know that at the start of the year we had a bit of a set back in the form of an ovarian cyst. Meaning we couldn’t move forward with the process until it was gone,’ she began.
‘And then, at today’s scan we found out that the cyst had gone and we are finally able to take our next steps to becoming parents one day 👶🏻💕💙.’
The influencer then revealed: ‘I’ve been feeling absolutely every single emotion over the last couple of days and as you can imagine when I got the good news I was completely over the moon but now all the nerves and anxiety that I was running on have left my body… I’m just knackered 😂
‘So I’m not going to say too much else- I’m just going to curl up on the sofa with @ercan_ram and the lads and watch a nice film ☺️.’
Explaining their plans now, she added: ‘We’re literally starting straight away and I’ll do my best to be as honest and open as I can be with you all- but please bear with me- I don’t know how this next couple of weeks will affect me and at times I might find it all a bit overwhelming.’
Vicky stated that she made the post so that no one would misinterpret her quiet as bad news.
‘We are happy, grateful and a little bit apprehensive but ultimately really excited to take these next steps towards growing our family together ✨
‘Sending you all loads of love. And to anyone else who isn’t quite where they thought they’d be with their fertility journey I just wanted to send you love, light and positivity 💕.’
Her other photographs featured a view of the bed and monitor in her treatment room, as well as a selfie she snapped during the procedure while dressed in a comfortable dark tracksuit.
Giving the back story to the final picture, she wrote: ‘Ps me clutching my little wee bag in the last slide… 😂😂😂 I just honestly couldn’t believe the good news we’d been given…
‘I was such a proud little pea head… So proud of my little ovaries I could have burst 🥹☺️ But instead I just cried in the toilet and filled my wee tube ✨👶🏻’
‘Love you ❤️,’ partner Ercan shared in the comments, while actress and Strictly Come Dancing star Gemma Atkinson replied: ‘Wonderful news ❤️’
Former Love Islander and Naked Education presenter Dr Alex George added: ‘Always wishing you well and sending love ❤️ amazing human x’
Taking to her Stories later again as she curled up on the sofa, Vicky wrote in the caption: ‘So grateful to you all for your lovely kind words… I want to reply to each and every one of you and say that I love you and thank you but I’m shattered and just want to focus on @ercan_ram and the boys tonight.’
‘Hope you all understand,’ she added.
