Ellie Taylor of Strictly Come Dancing has announced that she is expecting her second child.
In a touching Instagram post on Friday, the Snog, Marry Avoid legend, and Ted Lasso actor revealed the news with her followers.
Ellie wrote: ‘Excited.’ beside a stunning photo of her kid caressing her growing tummy. Terrified. Grateful. Hungry.’
She admitted that pregnancy has been a ‘funny’ topic for her in recent years and she had found it ‘tricky following prego people online.’
The star urged ‘anyone in a similar headspace’ who could be bothered by ‘inevitable baby spam’ bound to follow to ‘be kind to your brainbox and mute or unfollow me.’
‘I hope you’ll be back but whatever your situation, I wish you love and clarity as you continue to navigate your own journey.’
Ellie and her husband, international new journalist Phil Black, already have a five-year-old daughter, Valentina, whom they keep out of the spotlight, publishing only rare images of her with her face hidden on social media.
Valentina was born four years after the couple married.
Ellie took part in the 2022 season of Strictly with professional dance partner Johannes Radebe, but was eliminated following a dance-off against Fleur East.
She later said in an interview with Lorraine Kelly that her daughter was ‘annoyed’ she had been kicked off the programme because she had gotten’really into it.’
‘She knows all the judges’ names,’ Ellie said at the time.
‘She has a lot of opinions and she is quite annoyed I won’t win. Not sad, but because she wanted the Glitterball.’
