Stranger Things’ fifth and final season has been teased with a mystery teaser, but fans are questioning what this may mean for one significant character.
The season 4 conclusion of the blockbuster Netflix series left Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), and their friends dealing with the consequences of Vecna’s (Jamie Campbell Bower) destruction in Hawkins.
The fifth season will be the show’s final season, with the final batch of episodes sure to make fans cry all across the world.
The show’s creators, Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer (known as the Duffer Brothers), have been careful not to reveal too much about the last chapter of the plot… However, a significant hint has now been revealed.
Fans can see Steve Harrington’s (Joe Keery) former workplace Scoops Ahoy advertising new ice cream flavours in the latest teaser.
‘An ocean of joy with scoops ahoy,’ the narrator says.

While most people wondered how this related to the new season, some were concerned that something horrible would happen to ‘favourite babysitter’ Steve.
‘Without Steve Harrington I don’t want,’ one person wrote.
‘Y’all literally had the audacity to take the best part away,’ another person seethed.
‘If Steve isn’t included why would I buy this?’ a third added.
Stranger Things’ final season is now on hold due to the ongoing Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike.
Stranger Things was considered ‘impossible’ to continue after thousands of TV and film writers staged a strike to demand better compensation.
Other Stranger Things performers who have addressed the end episode include Noah, who assured fans that the crew did a ‘wonderful job’ with Will.
In December last year, Noah hinted at how Will’s narrative will conclude, saying: ‘I can just tell you that I’m really very thrilled for what’s to come.
‘I think they did a great job with Will’s character this season, and beautifully addressed everything they needed to. The way they closed the show is just perfect – the story started with Will, and it’ll end with Will.’
Meanwhile, the Stranger Things authors revealed a major spoiler for Season 5 early this year.
On the official Twitter account for the Stranger Things writers, a new tweet posted on Tuesday March 21 read: ‘Season 5 is like if season 1 and 4 had a baby. And then that baby was injected with steroids.’
Season 1-4 of Stranger Things is available to stream on Netflix.
