Roman Kemp was not pleased with the response to his interview with Hollywood icon Keanu Reeves.
The Capital DJ, 30, was entrusted with interviewing the Hollywood star this week as part of the John Wick: Chapter 4 press tour.
While Roman is clearly a pro, things didn’t go so smoothly, with listeners labelling the interview cringey – ouch.
When it comes to promotions for future films, actors are usually asked the same questions over and over again, but Roman takes a different approach, asking amusing questions like whether John Wick could beat PE star Joe Wicks in a fight.
But, the Canadian actor was perplexed by the questions, resulting in a video of the interview becoming viral.
Roman has now responded to the mocking by turning to Twitter and sharing an article about fans calling the interview ‘absolute embarrassment.’
He had just one word to say: ‘Brilliant.’
Along with John Wick vs. Joe Wicks, Roman asked Keanu whether the hitman knew how much a halogen lamp costs, because his name sounded like a hardware shop Wickes.
Keanu, known for being one of the most nice and pleasant persons on the earth, went along, chuckling that he would ‘Wickes my bathroom, I’m going to Wickes my new kitchen.’
And Roman, who is known as much for his impressions as he is for his radio career, then impersonated the actor by altering his expression as if he were ‘ready to sneeze.’
You had to hand it to Roman; that was not an interview he would forget in a long line of press interviews.
It hasn’t been a good week for the DJ, who was previously left with egg on his face after seeming to lose £10,000 by eating a rare Creme Egg.
He’d posted an image of a half-white chocolate, half-milk chocolate Creme Egg, asking Cadbury, ‘What is this?’
And when he found out the delicious treat was worth $10,000, he was devastated.
‘I HAVE EATEN IT. WHAT DO I DO NOW? HELPPPPPPPPP.’
