Paddy McGuinness celebrated his birthday milestone early with his friends and family over the weekend.
The Top Gear host, 49, readied himself to turn 50 with a premature celebratory gathering that included champagne and a luxurious cake marking his new age.
His early low-key bash was showed off on social media as the star shared some behind-the-scenes snaps of the special day.
A number of images revealed he was surrounded by a close-knit group of his friends before he got ready to head out to the wedding of Line Of Duty actress Vicky McClure.
The star also shared a sweet video filmed by one of his nearest and dearest as they surprised Paddy with a birthday welcome home.
In the clip, the TV presenter entered through the front door to screams of, “Suprise, happy birthday” from people out of view of the camera and danced around the reception area to the tune of the popular coming-of-age jingle.

In addition to birthday greetings, the actor posted photos from his friend’s wedding to her film director husband Jonathan Owen in Nottingham.
He shared a single shot of the BBC show’s cast sipping beer in smart-looking suits at what seemed to be the wedding’s after-party.
Alongside the snap, he added a caption that read: ‘A few Stripes with the cuddly toys. Some day that! #redstripe #oldschool #statussix #ladsladslads #weddingphotography.’
Paddy’s approaching birthday comes following his divorce from Christine last September after 11 years of marriage.
After publicly announcing their parting of ways, Christine told OK magazine: ‘We’re amicable. I’m quite happy for him to be there with the children and it’s nice for them to see Mummy and Daddy just being alright. We can sit and have a cup of tea together and that’s fine.’
