Chunkz has revealed the secret to his chemistry with Maya Jama and it’s all about laughs and good vibes.
The dynamic duo have teamed up tonight to co-host the virtual MOBOs 2020 awards, which has returned after a three-year break.
It makes perfect sense that Maya, 26, and Chunkz, 24, were chosen to front this year’s awards show as their friendship has become one of the most endearing things to come out of 2020.

Opening up about their bond, Chunkz told Metro.co.uk: ‘She’s good vibes and it’s just one of those things where we had chatted on social media so when we did meet each other it was banter.’
He added sweetly: ‘She’s a good friend.’
The pals are clearly in sync with each other as Maya also described the social media star as ‘good vibes’ and her ‘perfect’ sparring partner.
‘I guess you’ll see the chemistry on the night, or lack of, but he’s great,’ Maya said earlier this week.
‘I was a fan of his before we met anyway. He’s got good vibes, he’s fun, he connects to the youth perfectly and with the MOBOs being on YouTube first and then on BBC One he takes care of a massive side of the YouTube audience who absolutely love him.’
She added: ‘It’s his first time going in front of an autocue so I felt like we’ve been training together but he smashed it, I love him. We’ve not been on a date though.’
The pair cemented their friendship after meeting at Soccer Aid in September.
Chunkz was able to manifest a first ‘date’ with Maya after being savagely friendzoned at the beginning before going on to bag a second meet-up with the TV presenter.
‘Good day out w my babes, 2 weeks strong x,’ he cheekily captioned a photo of him carrying Maya on his back.
Fans can stream the ceremony live on the MOBOs YouTube channel from 7pm and again on BBC One tonight at 10:45pm.
