Nigella Lawson has continued to lap up her iconic microwave moment by reposting some of the hilarious memes.
The TV chef entertained viewers on Monday night when she revealed the questionable way she pronounces microwave or, as she says, ‘meeecro-wa-vay’ on Cook, Eat, Repeat.
Fans have refused to let the banter die and one shared a meme of an IKEA advert for a microwave, instead jokingly called ‘Meekro Wahve’ in a faux Swedish translation.
‘The @Nigella_Lawson And @IKEAUK collab drops tonight,’ one fan quipped.
Nigella replied: ‘That made me laugh!’ before retweeting the meme and admitting: ‘I know I said enough now, but couldn’t resist.’
Appreciating Nigella’s sense of humour, one fan said: ‘I love this wholesome torturing of the extraordinary @Nigella_Lawson . Nigella you are a delight and a terrific sport always.’
Taking to another level, one follower wondered: ‘Would you sell this as a print bc I want it for my kitchen.’
One fan is clearly on Nigella’s wavelength as they shared: ‘Nigella, we love you in this household; you do / say what you like! We call the fridge: ‘FRIGO’ in this house. My mother always called it the frigo,’ to which the chef admitted: ‘So do I!!!’
It comes after the 60-year-old clarified how she actually pronounces microwave.
When one fan tweeted: ‘Am I the only one who thought @Nigella_Lawson was being sarcastic when she pronounced Meecro-wavé?!
‘Now, I’m starting to think she really pronounces it like that?’
Regardless, thanks to Nigella we no longer recognise ‘microwave’ in the traditional sense.
