Margot Robbie is venturing out into bartending after being seen pouring shots behind a bar in Australia.
The actress has already established herself as one of Hollywood’s top stars, and she is now honing her bartending talents, which we must admit are rather amazing.
Barbie actress Margot, 32, has returned to her native Australia for a holiday and surprised diners at a Gold Coast pub this week when she appeared and began working.
The celebrated actress smiles as she lines up shot glasses on the counter and pours a big amount of Papa Salt gin directly from the bottle in an Instagram video.
She explains that before she became renowned, she worked at a pub near the institution, with one enthusiastic punter commenting, ‘you can tell’ – as impressed as he is by her ability behind the counter.
The brief video, broadcast by Australia’s Today Show, has riotous laughing and talk from everyone around, with the excitement – and, most likely, the booze – kicking in for customers.
Margot was really pouring shots of her own gin, which she had just introduced with her husband, Tom Ackerley.
The gin, like Margot, is Australian, created in Byron Bay.
The amusing video comes as the world awaits the premiere of Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, starring Margot as the eponymous heroine and Ryan Gosling as her devoted other half Ken.
There are still months until the film’s debut, but it has already captivated moviegoers, with innumerable memes sprouting from the trailer, production stills, and marketing campaign.
While it’s undoubtedly one of the year’s most anticipated films, Margot recently said she wasn’t sure it’d ever see the light of day.
She told Bafta: ‘The first time I read the Barbie script, my reaction was: “Ah! This is so good. What a shame it will never see the light of day because they are never going to let us make this movie”.
Thankfully, as we now know, the film did come to fruition – and currently contains a cast that includes Will Ferrell, Dua Lipa, Ncuti Gatwa, Michael Cera, Nicola Coughlan, and Anne Hathaway.
Greta co-wrote the script with her husband, director Noah Baumbach, who directed The Squid And The Whale in 2005 and Marriage Story in 2019.
The film will be released on July 21.
