Shaughna Phillips has stated that she is still in shock about being a mother for the first time, describing her newborn baby girl as a “dream.”
The former Love Island contestant, 28, just announced the birth of her daughter, Lucia.
She was born on April 4, but Shaughna didn’t tell anyone until Thursday.
On Friday, the reality star updated her Instagram stories with footage of her sleeping daughter Lucia, with the camera moving around her as she snoozed in her cot and even appearing to give a tiny smile at one point.
‘My dream girl I can’t believe you’re mine,’ Shaughna captioned the clip.
It comes just hours after Shaughna confirmed her pregnancy with a snapshot of herself beaming at the camera while cradling her newborn in the hospital.
‘My darling Lucia, I wish I had you sooner so I could love you longer,’ she wrote.
Lucia was born on Tuesday at 8:10 p.m., weighing 8lb 8oz, according to the new mother.
Shaughna also shared a beautiful snapshot of Lucia wrapped in a white blanket in her cot at home, accompanied by Adele’s famous ballad Make You Feel My Love.
‘The song that was playing when you entered the world, no truer word my darling,’ she wrote.
The new mother then added the initials ‘LPW’ and a white heart emoji, hinting at Lucia’s yet-to-be-determined middle name and the obvious truth that she will take her father Billy Webb’s surname.
Shaughna and Billy are believed to have split during her pregnancy around the time he was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.
A rep for Shaughna previously told Metro.co.uk that the reality star was unaware of the offences.
The TV personality released an impassioned statement about his incarceration and how it affected her pregnancy.
‘Obviously, the baby’s father isn’t around after a difficult few weeks. But my major focus has always been on preparing for the birth and remaining as calm as possible,’ she told OK!.
‘I’m good at just saying, “Right, the show must go on”.’
She went on: ‘Billy’s not around, but I don’t want to say that I’m doing it on my own, because I’m absolutely not – my family’s incredible.
‘It’s going to be different, but I don’t want to say it’s going to be bad.’
