Zoe Ball isn’t letting a nasty break-up get her down; instead, she’s all about having fun, which includes dancing in her kitchen late at night.
Several months ago, it was reported that the Radio 2 broadcaster, 52, had divorced her long-term spouse, model Michael Reed.
At the time a friend alleged that they had started to ‘drift apart’ and the relationship had ‘run its course’, with the model also being dubbed ‘demanding’.
However, Zoe has now revealed how she is adjusting to being single again, and she appears to be having a terrific time.
This week, Zoe returns to Celebrity Gogglebox as a couch reviewer with son Woody, whom she shares with ex-husband Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim.
Zoe alluded to her break-up at several times throughout the programme, making observations about doing things alone and not getting as much action as she would want.
In a clip from the show, Zoe tells her kid about a recent night in.
‘You know what I did the other night? I whacked on some tunes. I was alone in the house and I danced in the kitchen until about one in the morning and I had a lovely time,’ she said.
‘I did all my moves and my favourite dances, spoke to my friends and had a little kitchen disco for one.
‘Is that a bit sad?’
Woody glanced at her, laughing at his mother’s admission, and asked if she was okay and if she ‘wanted to speak about it,’ as Zoe chuckled and buried her face in her hands.
Later in the episode, Zoe opened up to her son about how certain pigeons have been making her feel like she’s missing out.
During the conversation, she describes how mating birds have been squabbling just outside her bedroom door, their cooing rubbing in the fact that she isn’t getting any activity at the time.
Zoe and Michael began dating in 2017.
Norman was her previous husband from 1999 till 2016.
They also have a daughter named Nelly.
Celebrity Gogglebox airs tonight at 9pm on Channel 4.
