Jenny McCarthy and Carmen Electra are incredibly stunning in a vintage image for Skims.
The 90s icons teamed together to promote the American shapewear company’s latest swimsuit goods, which they accomplished by lathering up for a classic car wash-themed shoot.
The pair, who co-starred in the 2005 rom-com Dirty Love, look stunning as they stand alongside a bright pink automobile soaked in soap suds while wearing a black Skims bikini top and bottoms.
Another photo portrays Carmen, 51, in a one-piece swimsuit clutching a guitar and smirking at the camera on a spoof magazine cover titled ‘Red Hot Skims Summer,’ with headlines like ‘Carmen Electra rocks in Skims Swim,’ and complimenting her ‘high voltage curves.’
Jenny, 50, appears in a similar spoof version while eating ice cream, with the caption ‘Flavour of the month: Jenny McCarthy is sweet on Skims Swim’ alongside her.
A video on the brand’s Instagram shows the models tangled in a pink hose while grinning at the camera, as well as coating themselves in soap suds and throwing their hair back and forth in a familiar car wash scenario.
The images were posted to the Skims Instagram page, with one caption saying, ‘Back at full-throttle: Carmen Electra & Jenny McCarthy return in summer’s hottest swim.’
Jenny, the former Playmate of the Year, expressed her delight at being a part of the campaign in a statement.
‘I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of Skims’ latest campaign,’ she said.
‘The energy on set was incredible, especially shooting alongside Carmen, who looks amazing! It felt like we were back in the ’90s, and years later we’re still having fun!’
Carmen from Baywatch thanked Jenny for the pleasure she provided to the filming in her own remark.
‘Not only does she still look incredible, but she also brought the best energy to set and was my biggest cheerleader. I’m so happy we’re able to share in this iconic moment together!’ she said.
Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede co-founded the firm, which sells shapewear, swimwear, and other apparel products, in 2019.
Skims stated in a statement that by selecting Carmen and Jenny as the campaign’s faces, they hoped to capture the “spirit of a scorching, hot summer.”
‘This fun campaign celebrates the impact these women had on pop culture and their timeless appeal, reminding the world that confidence and sexiness cannot be confined,’ they continued.
