It seems like only yesterday that we were expecting the return of The Mandalorian, which now comes to Disney Plus with season 3.
And now we’re about to say farewell to Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu once more as the season comes to a close with a finale episode that appears to be as suspenseful as any following Din’s capture by Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito).
Since its first release in 2019, the Star Wars spin-off has become a global sensation, with season 2 continuing the protagonists’ journey in 2020.
Mando and Baby Yoda joined the cast of The Book of Boba Fett last year as their journey got more complex, and they were reunited after their agonising separation.
Their lives are once again in jeopardy, as Moff Gideon has escaped jail and has been scheming on Mandalore the entire while, as well as communicating with other key officials within the ruins of the Galactic Empire.
Here’s all you need to know about watching the show.
What time does The Mandalorian finale drop on Disney Plus?
The Mandalorian season three is due to premiere on Wednesday, March 1, with the first episode being available to watch on the platform from 8am BST in the UK.
This will be 12am PT (Pacific Time) and 3am ET (Eastern Time) in the United States.
If you live in the UK and won’t be able to see the show first thing in the morning, you should probably avoid social media to prevent spoilers, which will undoubtedly be discussed by fans the moment they push play.
The third season of The Mandalorian has eight episodes, the same as the first and second seasons.
While this will be the eighth episode of the third season, each episode of The Mandalorian is a chapter.
This indicates that the season three finale will be Chapter 24 of the overall plot.
Jon Favreau, the creator of The Mandalorian, wrote all eight episodes of the third installment, five on his own and three with co-writers.
He worked alongside Noah Kloor on episode three, and with executive producer Jon Filoni on episodes four and seven.
The Mandalorian seasons 1 – 3 are available to watch on Disney Plus.
