Rita Ora will be singing at a Love Island pool party on tonight’s episode of the ITV dating programme, and she brought something odd with her for the business trip.
The male contenders normally wear their pricey sneakers, while the female contestants wear heels, but Rita, 32, does things a bit differently.
She performed in trendy cowboy boots and posed in a pair of Dior knee-high fence boots. So far, so typical.
The final item of footwear, though, was less flashy and more health-conscious.
The singer was wearing Normatec leg compression recovery boots, which cost £899 and had to take up a lot of space in her bag.
The boots are said to employ ‘dynamic air compression,’ which allows frequent users to ‘advance their wellbeing, recuperate faster, increase their training, and maximise their performance.’
The boots will squeeze and then release on the user’s legs; this pulse technology is intended to aid boost circulation, revitalise muscles, and reduce edoema.
The technology has already been utilised by great athletes, and we’re confident it would have aided Rita’s enjoyable performance of single Praising You.
Following the release of her new album You & I, she also treated them to a medley of past songs. Rita and Ne-Yo are a lucky couple for the class of 2023. We may stop purchasing concert tickets and instead apply for Love Island every year.
Speaking of the experience Rita said: ‘Guys my dream has come true. Obviously I love watching the show.’
While being interviewed on This Morning by hosts Demort O’Leary and Alison Hammond she added: ‘It was so hot and I sweating in places I didn’t know I could sweat from, but I was so happy to be there.
‘I was supposed to stay on the stage but I wanted to get up and close.’
She was able to strike up fast conversations with the reality stars, telling Jess Harding that she was a “very lovely kid.”
‘They were asking questions about what going on outside but I couldn’t tell them anything,’ she remarked.
Although Rita had the group in the mood for a celebration, the mood immediately changed as host Maya Jama appeared to announce the results of the public vote.
Maya, 28, initially lets the cast know who is the most popular pair, before adding: ‘We’re going to handle things a little bit differently this time – you know we love a narrative surprise.
‘I have some more news that might not be that great. The three couples with the least amount of votes will be vulnerable and at risk of being dumped from the island tonight.’
Could this imply that the most popular pair has any power?
Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
