Michelle Keegan’s new Netflix drama Fool Me Once looks to be the buzz of the TV industry right now.
Some claim to have phoned in ill to binge-watch the fascinating drama, which also stars the great Dame Joanna Lumley and Richard Armitage.
Others, however, have voiced their outrage at what looks to be an untruth in the presentation.
Emmett J Scanlan plays military officer Shane Tessier in the programme.
Shane wears his military uniform and red beret in certain situations.
However, some observant viewers of the eight-part series have expressed dissatisfaction with the beret’s location and style.

One X user called Clive, who describes himself on his profile as an ‘ex Royal Signals SNCO’ (senior non-commissioned officer), wrote: ‘So many crimes against Military Dress, especially berets in #FoolMeOnce.
‘For the love of God get a military adviser who knows how to dress like a soldier!’
Another person who goes by the handle @InspGadgetBlogs claimed that the character was wearing ‘the wrong kind of red beret, which doesn’t even fit’.
They continued: ‘He looks unmilitary and ridiculous.’
One user sent a photo on the social networking site of real-life troops marching, demonstrating how ‘the RMP beret should be worn’, with part of the beret falling to the side of the right eye and the gold emblem over the left eye.
Another user named Chris provided a screenshot of Shane in a scenario, pointing out the apparent flaws that they spotted as a veteran.
‘Hi @netflix as a British Army Veteran can I offer a free service for how to correct display British soldiers?’ they wrote. ‘Wrong cap badge, not shaved, beret worn wrong.’
Former military police officer Mike Neville told MailOnline: ‘What most people are annoyed about is his appearance with the beret – looks and is worn like something Frank Spencer would wear.
‘People expect to wear the right things in shows like this. The correct dress is important otherwise it can be seen as disrespectful.’
Following the release of Fool Me Once, Michelle hailed its global triumph with an Instagram post that included screenshots of it rising to the top of the streaming giant’s watching numbers.
‘Number 1 in the world & in more than 60 countries I feel like I’m in a dream right now,’ she wrote in her caption.
‘Thank you to every single person who has reached out or messaged me re Fool Me Once I promise you I read them all.
‘Over the moon that you’ve enjoyed the show as much as we enjoyed making it. It’s been a very very special week.’
