The Tinder Swindler conman Simon Leviev – real name Shimon Hayut – is back in the spotlight following the release of Netflix’s jaw-dropping documentary.
The fraudster, who was exposed in the film posing as billionaire Leviev, swindled Tinder dates out of millions of pounds and was wanted around the globe for several crimes including forgery and theft.
In 2017, he spent two years in a Finnish prison for defrauding several women and was released in 2017.
He was jailed again two years later in Israel for travelling on a fake passport but was released after five months on good behaviour.
But where is Hayut now? We’ve got everything you need to know about his whereabouts.
Where does Simon Leviev/Shimon Hayut live now?
Hayut was born in Israel and posed as a wealthy jetsetter on the dating app Tinder.
He conned his victims by telling them was the son of Israeli diamond tycoon Lev Leviev, but really had zero relation to the family.
Hayut managed to swindle women across Europe while constantly travelling around the world for ‘work’ purposes and lived on the money he was sent by his victims.
He was jailed for 15 months but was released after serving just five months.
Following his newfound freedom, Hayut now lives as a free man in Israel.
Since returning to Instagram, he often shares photographs of his lavish lifestyle with his 124,000 followers and regularly thanks them for their continued support.
He made his comeback to the photo-sharing site on Valentine’s Day where he said in a video posted on his story: ‘I want to clarify a few things.
‘I don’t have any social media accounts but this one. No Tinder, no Instagram, no Facebook, no TikTok – nothing.
‘Only this one… anything else, it’s fake.’
The Tinder Swindler is available to stream on Netflix.
