This Morning fans saw Alison Hammond welcome on Craig Doyle on Friday’s episode, as he replaced Dermot O’Leary – but who is he?
Alison and Craig were on hand to welcome ITV viewers into the weekend, with a typically fun Friday instalment.
While Alison normally hosts with Dermot, he had taken a day off from his presenting duties, and the Irishman appeared as his replacement.
He recently co-hosted the May Bank Holiday episode alongside Alison while regular presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were also taking some time away.
But Craig is far from a new name on TV, having hosted programmes across BBC, ITV and Irish channel RTÉ over the years.
Here’s everything you need to know about the presenter.
Who is Craig Doyle?
Craig was born in Dublin on December 17, 1970, and is 51 years old.
He has been a part of the This Morning family since November last year, and made his first appearance as a guest presenter with Alison earlier this month.
The broadcaster worked for BBC Sport from 2004 until 2008, anchoring international rugby, including the Six Nations Championship, and triathlon.
He is currently the main anchor on BT Sport Premiership and European Champions Cup rugby coverage. Craig has also been a presenter on ITV’s Rugby World Cup coverage.
Irish viewers also know him as the host of RTÉ One chat show Tonight with Craig Doyle and RTÉ Two’s Craig Doyle Live.
Viewers may recognise him for being the face of home improvement firm Everest’s adverts, since 2008.
He even appeared on the children’s programme Diggit on GMTV alongside Fearne Cotton and Reggie Yates from 1998 to 2002.
Craig married his long-term girlfriend Doon Hutson Doyle back in 2001, who he shares four children with.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
