Harry Clarke, a Traitors participant, is no stranger to celebrity thanks to his girlfriend, Anna Maynard.
While we haven’t seen Harry on TV yet, Anna is a children’s TV presenter on CBBC’s singing competition Got What it Takes with Melvin Odoom, as well as an influencer with 328k subscribers on YouTube and 149k followers on Instagram.
Harry and Anna have been dating for at least two years, and they frequently exchange social media messages expressing their mutual love.
Last year, Harry wrote: ‘Everyone’s got that special person, I’m just lucky I’ve found mine already.’
‘Cheers to my best friend, who I’ll forEVER do life with,’ typed Anna.
Anna is also a member of a prominent family because of her siblings. Conor Maynard, a popstar, is her elder brother, as is YouTuber Jack Maynard, 29, who appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! but departed after social media photos resurfaced.
Harry is certainly confident in his prowess, and disclosed in a confessional: ‘I’ve got that face, it sounds so cocky, but you either want to kiss it or punch it.’
*SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED THE FIRST EPISODE*
That may help him or hurt him in the ultimate game of treachery. We already know that British Army engineer Harry, 22, is a Traitor since he was chosen by host Claudia Winklemen in the first episode, and he appeared delighted with himself.
We also know that’s what Harry wanted as he told us loud and clear: ‘I want to be a Traitor so bad!’ Plus, after he was tapped on the shoulder by Claudia, 51, the corporal broke into a pretty big smile.
He later explained how he’d felt in that moment: ‘Loads of stuff was racing through my mind and the touch on the shoulder settled everything down. It was like now I know what I need to do, it’s time to kill everybody basically.’
He is joined by Paul, 36, and Ash, 45, as well as an unidentified fourth individual who will seek to deceive the other 18 candidates in order to escape expulsion.
Anna, 23, was as engrossed as the rest of the UK while watching from home.
‘Will I have nails by the end of this episode… I don’t think so,’ she wrote on Instagram stories.
Suggesting Harry hasn’t given her any spoilers she added: ‘The suspense is killing me!! I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT.’
‘Why have I already binge watched the first 3 EPISODES AND THEY’VE LEFT IT ON A BLOODY CLIFFHANGER,’ she shouted (well, she capitalised the words, which is the writing equivalent).
The first three episodes of The Traitors are available to watch on BBC iPlayer, with the next episode airing on Wednesday, January 10.
