Alex Jones, presenter of The One Show, had an uncomfortable moment when she unintentionally declined a handshake from a Hollywood A-lister.
On Monday’s episode of the show, actors Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldana appeared to promote their new film Project: Lioness.
As the celebrities entered, Nicole moved in to shake Alex’s hand, while Zoe greeted co-host Jermaine Jenas.
However, as Zoe reached out to Alex, the host inadvertently overlooked her gesture while hugging Nicole.

Jermaine instantly came to the rescue, going for a second handshake with Zoe to get beyond the awkward moment.
‘Oops, I’ll just do it again,’ he joked.
This follows Alex’s admission that she unintentionally snuck a one-armed monkey out of a zoo in a bag during a family outing.
Recounting the odd story on Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled, Alex informed her other guests that it all started when the monkey, fittingly called Bandit, saw the diaper bag resting beneath the pram.
‘I think there must have been a banana or something hanging out,’ she says, in a clip ahead of Friday’s episode.
‘So, he jumps in, and this flipping monkey… rooted through, rooted through and we couldn’t get him out.’
Despite her husband’s best efforts, Alex was adamant on keeping the monkey in the bag.
‘I was like “I’m not leaving him, there’s monkey DNA all over my baby, I’m not leaving him in the changing bag, disgusting, germy”,’ she recalls.
The monkey eventually got out of the sack with the aid of a zookeeper and a stick of fruit… or so they thought.
‘[We] made our way back to the car and just as we went to leave the zoo, heard something,’ Alex continues.
