It has been established that The Masked Dancer will not return in 2023.
The enormously popular spin-off of The Masked Singer will not be televised during the Rugby World Cup for the first time in two years.
The Masked Dancer follows the same winning idea as The Masked Singer, with celebrities dressed in ridiculous costumes and fans trying to figure out who is behind the mask, however instead of singing they’re dancing.
However, in order to make room for one of the year’s major sporting events in September, judges Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, Jonathan Ross, and Oti Mabuse will not be rejoining to hone their investigative abilities.
However, Metro.co.uk has been told that The Masked Dancer is only being ‘rested’ for 2023 and will most likely return in 2024.
Heather Morris of Glee won the latest season of The Masked Dancer as Scissors, defeating Coyote Ugly heartthrob Adam Garcia as Onomatopoeia in the grand finale.
After being revealed as Carwash, Strictly Come Dancing star and Olympic gymnast Louis Smith was declared the first ever champion of The Masked Dancer.
The Masked Singer is nearing its conclusion, with Fawn, Rhino, and Phoenix vying to be the fourth champion.
