Karren Brady, an Apprentice assistant, isn’t one to conceal when she suspects the candidates are going off the rails.
On tonight’s BBC broadcast, it looks that one team’s strategy for the current challenge would end in a chaotic clash of haphazard ideas… Will they be able to comeback and triumph in the boardroom?
Dani Donovan and Simba Rwambiwa are working together to create a pet food product that they hope would please Lord Alan Sugar and industry professionals in an exclusive footage from week 10 published by Metro.co.uk.
Dani says, ‘This is genuinely freaking me out a lot,’ after learning that the couple is behind on their design.
Simba points out that because they picked insects as a source of protein in their dog food formula, they need to highlight their important component on the box.
‘Can we just have the foundation done first? ‘I want a polished product,’ Dani answers, before presumably taking command of the outside of the thing they’re going to try to sell to specialists.
Dani then begins describing the product designer all of the specifics she wants included, such as a pale orange backdrop, a planet symbol, a ‘random worm,’ and a heart formed of paws.
Taglines on the product include ‘made with your pet and our world in mind,’ ‘protein extracted from insects,’ and ‘hypoallergenic protein,’ but neither Simba nor Dani appear happy with what they’ve developed.
‘That looks a bit better, what do you think?’ Dani asks Simba, as he replies: ‘Yeah’… while not looking too convinced.
Speaking to the camera, Karren reveals how she believes the duo has failed on the mission since they have failed to effectively communicate what their product is all about.
‘They spent so much time bickering, that their product has ended up with a worm, a globe and a paw. I mean, it doesn’t actually say what it is!’ she states disapprovingly.
Dani looks to be doubting herself after being thrilled about her innovative ideas during the design meeting, when she adds to Simba, ‘Well, at least it’s not bad.’ a
Nevertheless, Simba, who attempted but failed to add to the overall appearance, did not appear to be impressed.
So, would their dog food fiasco come back to bother them in the boardroom if their final product turns out to be a true dog’s dinner?
The Apprentice returns tonight at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
