Taskmaster’s Katherine Parkinson is seen descending into madness in a bizarre challenge in tonight’s show, with the contestants taking on one of the most random tasks to date.
A clip from the show sees the stars apparently trying to launch a shoe into a bathtub, which definitely sounds simple enough.
However, the reality is far from straight-forward, with Katherine, 42, and her fellow contestant Mawaan Rizwan struggling.
Mawaan, 28, is seen trying to use a plank of wood as a kind of catapult with varying degrees of success.
Katherine, meanwhile, enlists Taskmaster Greg Davies’ assistant Alex Horne to help her use a piece of garden furniture – which immediately breaks apart – to launch the shoe, with the comedian eventually getting it stuck on a huge pole.
‘It’s a shame my hands aren’t my feet,’ she laments at one point.
Although Mawaan finally gets his shoe in the bath, it seems it took him countless tries, so let’s hope this isn’t a ‘quickest wins’ task.
Hey, at least it’s a step up from his awkward disqualification in one recent episode and that moment when he tried to fill an egg with helium. Never forget.
Mawaan and Katherine are competing alongside Richard Herring, Daisy May Cooper, and Johnny Vegas to win this year’s series, which is the first to be broadcast on Channel 4 after its move from Dave.
The show sees five comedians battle it out in tasks set by Greg and Alex, scoring points across each episode which are tallied up at the end of the series.
Over the past 10 series of Taskmaster, Josh Widdicombe, Katherine Ryan, Rob Beckett, Noel Fielding, Bob Mortimer, Liza Tarbuck, Kerry Godliman, Lou Sanders and Ed Gamble have been crowned champions, after competing in ridiculous challenges for Greg and Alex’s approval.
Taskmaster airs Thursdays at 9pm on Channel 4.
