Only a select few have been able to take home Greg Davies’ golden head on Taskmaster… and now they’re about to announce a new winner.
After weeks of ludicrous tasks set by Alex Horne, the final is finally upon us – and given us some absolutely iconic moments of bonkers TV in the process.
Here’s who has won the series so far.
Josh Widdecombe
The Last Leg star and stand-up comic was the first ever champion – and later became the first Champion of Champions in an all-star series.
Josh beat Frank Skinner, Roisin Conaty, Romesh Ranganathan and Tim Key.
Series 2: Katherine Ryan
Katherine’s wits allowed her to outsmart Doc Brown, Joe Wilkinson, Jon Richardson and Richard Osman.
This year Katherine released her own Netflix series, The Duchess, and has continuing to perform stand-up.
Series 3: Rob Beckett
Rob Beckett beat Al Murray, Dave Gorman, Paul Chowdhury and Sara Pascoe to be this year’s winner.
His most notable moment was when he surprised Alex by dressing up like a nan before hysterically laughing while spraying him down with water.
It is as weird as it sounds.
Series 4: Noel Fielding
Season four’s champion was Noel Fielding, who managed to beat Hugh Dennis, Joe Lycett, Lolly Adefope and Mel Giedroyc.
Noel is now the host of Great British Bake Off alongside Matt Lucas.
Series 5: Bob Mortimer
Bob Mortimer emerged victorious after beating Aisling Bea, Mark Watson, Nish Kumar and Sally Phillips.
Bob continues to work alongside his long-time co-star Vic Reeves on Vic and Bob’s Big Night Out.
Series 6: Liza Tarbuck
Liza Tarbuck beat the likes of Russell Howard, Tim Vine, Asim Chaudhry and Alice Levine to be the season six winner.
She is a regular face on comedy Upstart Crow.
Series 7: Kerry Godliman
Season seven’s winner was Kerry Godliman – the ‘bosh’ queen – who overpowered James Acaster, Jessica Knappett, Phil Wang and Rhod Gilbert.
Kerry, who may be recognisable for her role in Ricky Gervais’s After Life, later briefly returned to fill in for Katy Wix in series nine after she fell ill.
Series 8: Lou Sanders
Lou Sanders won season eight, beating Iain Stirling, Joe Thomas, Paul Sinha, and Sian Gibson.
She’s most recently been seen in Aisling Bea’s This Way Up and Karl Pilkington’s Sick Of It.
Series 9: Ed Gamble
Ed Gamble was the ninth winner ever, beating David Baddiel, Joe Brand, Katy Wix and Rose Matafeo.
He now also presents the official Taskmaster podcast, recapping each episode.
Taskmaster is available on Channel 4 On Demand.
