Kai Widdrington, a Strictly Come Dancing pro, revealed why he ‘blows’ his fingers before dancing with his partner.
The 28-year-old will return to the competition this year alongside new contenders Amanda Abbington, Angela Rippon, Les Dennis, and Adam Thomas, with rehearsals already begun.
Kai, who previously worked with AJ Odudu and Kaye Adams, shared the useful hints he’s picked up over his two years on the shitshow.
‘In the boys’ dressing room, we play music and have a laugh. Do silly dances or TikToks. Sometimes I blow on my fingers – that’s what Greg Rutherford would do before he did the long jump,’ he said.
He added to OK! Sometimes you get sweaty hands and it helps to make sure my partner doesn’t slip!’

While Kai has been on the programme for two years, his girlfriend and fellow Strictly professional Nadiya Bychkova has been on since 2017 and was most recently with Matt Goss.
Kai was giving major boyfriend goals when he said: ‘In my opinion, Nadiya is the most amazing dancer in the world.’
‘We’re very supportive of each other,’ he points out.
‘Nadiya is always complimentary to me too.’
In November of last year, Nadiya and Kai revealed how they met, claiming it was “magic.”
‘We became friends, and then magic happened! Can’t help it,’ Nadiya said during their joint appearance on Lorraine.
According to sources, the whole new series of Strictly Come Dancing will premiere on September 23.
The BBC series, according to The Sun, will finish on December 16, which means 13 weeks of dance!
