Sir David Jason made a flying visit to Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm Shop this week, touching down in a helicopter.
Jeremy’s Diddly Squat Farm Shop Instagram account shared two photos of him and Sir David, 82, standing in front of a helicopter on the property.
The Only Fools and Horses star was seen wearing brown trousers and a gilet, a red jumper and a blue baseball cap as he held up a Diddly Squat tote bag full of goodies.
In another shot, he and Jeremy, 62, appeared to be sharing a joke as they both appeared to be laughing with one another.
Fans were over the moon to see the actor, who played wheeler-dealer Del Boy in the comedy, make a rare public appearance.
They commented: ‘Nice one Del Boy!! Two legends!’ and ‘What a legend. In fact 2 legends in one picture.’
Others added: ‘Literally made my day,’ ‘Hope Del Boy paid full price for that bag of swag!’ and ‘Absolutely legendary, one of my favourite actors.’
One joked: ‘Mange tout Jeremy,’ while another added: ‘That’s really something to cherish Jeremy. A flying visit from David. I just adore and admire him and his wonderful career.’
Sir David had recently shared a heartfelt message to his fans on his 82nd birthday in February, saying in a video message while being presented a cake: ‘How lovely!
‘To my fans worldwide, God bless you all. Keep watching and have a laugh!’
Viewers of The One Show recently voted Only Fools and Horses as the ‘most loved’ BBC show, outranking Strictly Come Dancing and Doctor Who.
Celebrating the news, Sir David told the BBC programme: ‘I am delighted that Only Fools and Horses seems to be as popular as ever and that The One Show viewers have enjoyed it over the years.
‘It was such a great show to be a part of and I am pleased it has given so many laughs and continues to do so to this day.’
