RuPaul’s Drag Race UK baffled viewers by bringing in a mannequin as this week’s extra special guest judge.
Ahead of the semi-finals episode airing, the BBC team teased that ‘the most iconic guest judge in Drag Race herstory’ would be making their way down the runway.
To be fair, it was iconic – just not in the way anyone expected.
Due to coronavirus restrictions, the team had to think on their feet in order to stick with Covid guidelines, and after ‘Mickey’s’ star turn in the EastEnders parody challenge, he was brought on board to sit in the spare judges’ seat.
Mickey – based on Danny Dyer’s character in the BBC soap – had plenty of things to say too when it came to the queens, flirting with Bimini Bon Boulash after her turn as Skat Slater.
His character even managed to get a little frisky with ‘Thot Bottom’ – the sketch’s answer to Dot Cotton – in the middle of the Kween Dic.
Viewers were cracking up at the ridiculous gag, and cheers Mickey on as he made his debut on the panel.
Do we sense Graham Norton or Alan Carr’s job under threat?!
we waited a whole damn night for the guest judge to be a mannequin??? probably from H&M??? #DragRaceUk

EastEnders was given a Drag Race makeover for this week’s challenge in a sketch parodying iconic characters including Sharon Mitchell, Kat Slater and Phil Mitchell.
Natalie Cassidy, who plays Sonia on the soap, gave them a virtual acting lesson, with ‘Mickey’ becoming a guest star in their scenes.
This episode also revealed who had made it through to the final, with next week’s finale promising to crown the next Drag Superstar of the UK.
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK airs Thursdays at 7pm on BBC Three on iPlayer (UK) and WOW Presents Plus (Rest of World).
