There isn’t long to go until former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan launches his brand new show on TalkTV, beginning with a tumultuous interview with Donald Trump.
The host of Piers Morgan Uncensored appeared to be in high spirits ahead of his first day, sharing a video in which he was seen dancing by himself in the studio to 50 Cent’s In Da Club… as you do.
In the clip posted on Twitter, the camera panned around the swanky studio, before showing the 57-year-old sitting alone at his desk, bopping along to the 2003 tune, swaying his arms from side to side.
‘In da club..and ready to go. cc @50cent,’ he wrote in the caption, tagging the rapper in the hope of a response.
Earlier in the day, Piers reached out to Elon Musk on Twitter, amid the news that the social media platform is reportedly on the verge of accepting the Tesla founder’s £33million offer.
‘Hi Elon, my new global TV show starts this week and I’d love to interview you for it. This seemed the most appropriate way to pitch. Go on.. make a Brit happy. We’ll have fun,’ he wrote, although he’s yet to receive a reply.
In a teaser released for Piers Morgan Uncensored last month, the host explained what his new show was going to be about, stating that he was ‘forced to leave a job that I loved at the peak of its success for having the audacity to express an honestly held opinion’.
‘I’m delighted to now be returning to live television with a new prime-time show whose main purpose will be to cancel cancel culture which has infected societies around the world,’ he said in the clip.
‘I want it to be a platform for lively, vigorous debate, the newsmaking interviews, and that increasingly taboo three-letter word – fun. I also want it to annoy all the right people. I’m Piers Morgan, uncensored.’
On the day his exit was announced, Piers stormed off the ITV set during an argument with weatherman Alex Beresford over the Duchess of Sussex, with the tension remaining heightened after he returned to his seat.
Piers Morgan Uncensored launches on Monday at 8pm on TalkTV.
