On the final episode of Late Night Lycett on Friday night, Paul Chuckle completely delighted viewers with some classic ‘to me, to you’ banter and slapstick comedy.
The 75-year-old comedian made an unexpected cameo on the Channel 4 show, when he took on the role of a shopkeeper at Lycett’s favourite Birmingham corner shop.
During Paul’s introduction, he was asked if he could search the shop for some special items and deliver them to the studio guests… And, of course, it didn’t take long for him to drop the legendary phrase.
But that wasn’t the end of it.
Paul also provided some fantastic slapstick comedy, landing face-first into some custard pies after getting his foot trapped in a pail.
Yes, it felt like we were back in the early 2000s.
Viewers were overjoyed to see Paul back on television and took to Twitter to express their delight.
‘Paul Chuckle running the corner shop wasn’t on my bingo card for the evening!’ wrote one.
Another said: ‘Getting Paul Chuckle to say “To Me, To You”… so emotional, so wonderful, so nice.’

I love that they’ve got actual @PaulChuckle2 on the last episode of @joelycett’s #LateNightLycett show.
The word legend is sometimes overused but I don’t think anyone could argue that Paul’s definitely earned that title.

‘The word legend is sometimes overused but I don’t think anyone could argue that Paul’s definitely earned that title,’ added a third.
Paul, along with his late brother Barry Chuckle, is one half of the Chuckle Brothers.
The couple was best known for their BBC children’s show ChuckleVision, which aired from 1987 until 2009.
Chuckle, actual name Barry Elliot, died at the age of 73 in 2018.
Late Night Lycett is available to stream on All 4.
