Amanda Owen of Our Yorkshire Farm is allegedly working on a new Channel 4 programme following her divorce from her long-term spouse Clive Owen.
Cameras followed the shepherd, writer, and presenter and her family, which included Clive, 68, and their nine children, for five seasons of Our Yorkshire Farm before the pair announced their divorce in June last year.
Months later, Channel 5 revealed that the successful series will be ending, with Clive and their son Reuben due to appear in a spin-off focusing on their new excavating business, which would apparently not involve Amanda.
It’s now been claimed that Amanda will continue her on-screen career with Channel 4, after previously discussing a series of specials with the It’s A Sin broadcaster next year.
Last year, she made six-part series, Farming Lives, with the channel which, according to an insider, was a ‘test run of Amanda in a new setting and the response from audiences was good.’
They continued to The Sun: ‘So they want to push ahead and make more shows with her as soon as possible including a show which they are about to announce.
‘It will still link to her origins on Our Yorkshire Farm, as it will tap into the region where she was born and spent most of her life.
‘It very much marks the next stage of her evolution on TV and is a reflection of how she’s become a star in her own right.’
Amanda is now believed to be seeing businessman Robert Davies, 71, who ‘blindsided’ his wife Yasumi, 56, by ending their 12-year marriage and walking out of their family home after admitting to an affair with the TV personality.
Yasumi told The Sun: ‘She’s been lying to the British public and living a double life.’
‘She’s written books, featured in calendars, made guest appearances and gone on other TV shows.
‘But it is all a lie. I never imagined she was someone else behind the cameras and the truth has broken my heart and ended my marriage. There is another side to her.’
Amanda and Clive met in 1995 and starred on ITV’s The Dales in 2011 before launching Our Yorkshire Farm in 2018.
Amanda previously stated that she had no desire to date and was “getting on with my life as an independent woman, looking after the kids… and my sheep.”
She also stated that no one was involved in the break-up and that she didn’t understand ‘why this is being implied.’
Clive, meanwhile, said he ‘made a mess of things’ with Amanda, adding: ‘I had a massive part to play in our relationship ending. When all this is going on, here I am ranting and raving and drinking and carrying on.’
Our Yorkshire Farm is available to stream on My5.
