We’ve all been reminded by the musical duo that Christmas is approaching, and we should all have a cheeky one. So, if you’ve been debating whether to have a naughty glass of Bailey’s or make a cheeky purchase for yourself, you now have an answer.
It peaked at number 10 in the UK charts two decades ago, and we were all shaking our baubles to it during party season. We’re nodding nicely now as they sing it on Channel 4’s comedy show.

There is presently a Cheeky Girls revival in the air, since their song also aired on Saltburn.
The holiday song appeared suddenly in the smash Amazon thriller starring Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi, Rosamund Pike, and Richard E. Grant, which stunned audiences.
Emerald Fennell, the film’s writer, director, and producer, was happy that she was able to smuggle it onto the set in 2006.
‘It’s a great Christmas song. We tried to get Crazy Frog but he’s disappeared,’ she told media group HeyUGuys.
‘I don’t know what I expected from Saltburn, but the cheeky girls being on the soundtrack wouldn’t have been an immediate assumption,’ wrote Joe Black on X, formerly Twitter.
User Alex Zone admits to letting out a ‘audible shriek’ when they heard it in the music. Let’s hope they watched The Last Leg all the way through since Gabriela and Monica, 41, returned for round two at the end of the broadcast.
They were giving background vocals for another unusual musical performance this time.
Alex Brooker, the show’s host, invited East 17 singer Tony Mortimer to perform Stay Another Day alongside him.
Alison Hammond, Tom Davis, and other presenters Adam Hills and Josh Widdicombe joined The Cheeky Girls on support vocals.
Everyone had to wear the white jackets shown in the original song video, however the Cheeky Girls chose to merely cover their hair.
The Cheeky Girls rose to prominence on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, when they swiftly gained popularity among viewers.
Despite not winning the competition, their breakthrough single, The Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum), reached number two in the UK charts.
The singles Take Your Shoes Off and (Hooray, Hooray!) followed. It’s A Cheeky Holiday and It’s A Cheeky Holiday both peaked at number three.
After stepping away from the spotlight, the Cheeky Girls have found ‘regular’ occupations, both working for auto dealerships.
However, they released a new track, Let’s Have Fun, last year, which was written by their adored mother Margit, who also composed their prior hits.
Channel 4’s The Last Leg airs again on New Year’s Eve at 9pm.
