A crazy new reality show that will make Naked Attraction appear mild is coming to shortly, where competitors will have sex in the dark – with one blindfolded.
The social experiment is measuring closeness by introducing possible love connections to the blindfolded contestants.
They’ll gradually reduce their field of choices via a number of rounds as contenders are eliminated, with the singleton ‘bed hopping’ to identify their winner in the final stage.
Without their ability to see, the participants will have to rely on touch, physical and emotional interaction to find their true love before the conclusion of the programme.
The synopsis reads, according to Deadline: ‘In Sex in the Dark, one single person is blindfolded or left completely in darkness as they embark on “intimacy tests” to judge their connection, chemistry and attraction with a number of different suitors.’
It goes on to explain: ‘The show culminates in a final night in complete darkness, as the singleton bed-hops with the remaining suitors to see if smell, touch, physical connection and energy is all you need to fall in love.’
The publication notes that a pilot episode for the raunchy programme has already been filmed.
A premiere date, and the cast, has yet to be revealed.
The new show follows Danny Dyer’s Scared of the Dark, which debuted on Channel 4.
The tournament required eight celebrities to live in complete darkness for eight days while being regularly filmed and participating in tasks.
After the likes of Chris Eubank and Max George left the experiment early, footballing legend Paul Gascoigne was eventually crowned winner.
To exit ‘The Bunker’ in I’m A Celebrity style, the celebs had to yell, ‘I’m Scared of The Dark,’ before being led into the light.
Scared of the Dark is available to watch on All4.
