Netflix viewers are overjoyed that The Night Agent is now in production.
Streamers consumed 812 million hours of the first season from March 23 to the end of June, making it the biggest success story in their first public content review. It’s no surprise it’s back, but it’s important to remember that the current landscape can be unpredictable.
Netflix’s official Instagram and Twitter accounts foreshadowed the start of production with a photo of its lead actor Gabriel Basso, who plays FBI Agent Peter Sutherland.
He was scolding at the camera while carrying a clapperboard that announced the start of Series Two, Episode One. The second slide included a brief video of Gabriel, 29, soaring in a helicopter and looking out at the cityscape.
The first season’s 10 episodes were available to watch beginning in March of last year, and some viewers are eagerly anticipating the next installment.
They expressed their opinions clearly in comments on the social media announcement.
‘Can’t wait to see Peter Sutherland back in action! Who’s with me??,’ wrote Dammy Dance.
‘O M G. I’m so so so so excited,’ typed Garcia Jaidyn.
Viewer Ray Barrac remarked ‘finally the series i’ve been waiting’, which was liked over 500 times, ‘About time’ added Whaz Khan, while Wilson exclaimed ‘Finally! Can’t wait for X. Basically, the general feeling is that a lot of people have been waiting for this for a long time and are hoping that the filming may be completed soon.
The thriller series follows Peter, who becomes involved in a plot involving a “mole” in the US government.
To preserve the country, he must uncover the traitor while simultaneously rescuing former tech CEO Rose Larkin [Luciane Buchanan] from the criminals who murdered her family members.
The Night Agent’s first season is available to stream on Netflix.
