Scary Spice lived up to her reputation by teasing This Morning presenter Dermot O’Leary during her recent appearance.
Mel B has lately spilled a lot of juicy news, including Geri Halliwell’s alleged falsehoods to her and her removal from the Spice Girls Whatsapp conversation.
However, she was less than thrilled when the 50-year-old presenter attempted to stop her when she was disclosing even more secrets in their game of ‘Scary or Spicy’.
‘How do you feel about your nickname Scary Spice?’ asked Alison Hammond, 49, prompting Mel to declare: ‘I like it!’
She continued: ‘I have been asked this question where they go “Is it because you were the only lady of colour in the group?” I’m like no need to take it there.’
‘I like leopard print and I am scary,’ the Two Become One hitmaker added to Alison, with both women agreeing it wasn’t a bad thing to be intimidating.
Dermot, attempting to capitalise on a pause in the discourse, murmured ‘uhhhh’ as he readied for a new inquiry.
Clashing with him, Mel replied: ‘I think there’s a bit of Scary in everyone… I haven’t finished talking Dermot!’
He apologised and made a face, evidently embarrassed by the icon’s remark, while Alison giggled at her friend’s expense.
Alison continued to tease the former X Factor host, joking that he was the ‘greatest showbiz diva’ they’d encountered, which Mel agreed with before giving a strangely Italian impersonation of him.
In some of the other bizarre questions, the Big Brother alum questioned if she had ever been with The Gentleman actor Max Beesley, to which the Wannabe singer replied, ‘I’m not telling you!
As the behind-the-scenes section descended into mayhem, Alison surprised everyone by asking which of the Spice Girls Mel would marry.
Dermot couldn’t believe his ears as his co-host defended: ‘What that’s what he said in my ear!’
‘We’re not lesbians, Alison,’ replied Mel before giving a nod to persistent rumours and adding: ‘I was a lesbian but not now, clearly.’
The trio chuckled as Dermot dubbed it his ‘favourite question’ she’d ever asked, while the Bake Off host pleaded for the recording to be removed.
Mel had criticised her former bandmate Geri, 51, on Olivia Atwood’s podcast before her appearance on This Morning, suggesting no one knew her true age.
‘No one knows how old Geri is. No one’s seen her passport,’ she shared. ‘I mean, I know we’ve travelled the world, but I still don’t know how old she is.’
