After losing his position on This Morning, Love Island star Jack Fincham expressed his great remorse.
The reality personality was introduced on the first day of the 2018 season before marrying Dani Dyer and winning the series.
After the cameras stopped rolling, the pair dated for over a year before splitting up in March 2019.
Jack missed the ITV daytime programme four years ago after becoming ‘over-excited’ during the Celebs Go Dating closing party.
He apologised at the time and has since thought on the gaffe, stating that he is still attempting to recover from his ‘idiotic’ misstep.
Speaking about the incident on the Under The Surface podcast, he said: ‘I made some right idiotic decisions after [Love Island]. Not turning up for This Morning, which is like the holy grail of ITV. I’m still forever sorry for that.
‘I went out and I didn’t wake up and it’s my own fault. I was working and I was having such a brilliant time doing the competitions with Andi Peters, having a whale of a time going all over Europe doing live tele.’
He added: ‘The call time was 5am and I’ve gone to bed drunk and obviously not set my alarm, I woke to loads of missed calls and it was eight or nine o-clock by the time I’ve got up so the slot has gone, and I remember they were just so angry.
‘I was so apologetic but that messed up for me, I’m still trying to come up from that now.’
This comes after Jack previously revealed that he no longer enjoys watching Love Island.
‘It’s mad, it’s hard for me to watch…,’ he said while appearing at The Last Heist premiere.
‘I know [how] things are done. So, I’m like “I bet that took four hours”, like the challenges and stuff taking ages, but I love the show, I love it.’
He continued to The Sun: ‘I was a fan, a massive fan of it. I’ve always watched it.’
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
