*WARNING: Love Is Blind spoilers below*
Bliss Poureetzadi has discussed her return to Love Is Blind after being abandoned in the pods, as well as an uncomfortable encounter with Irina Solomonova.
The 33-year-old had a rocky season four of the Netflix dating show, when she was dumped by Zack Goytowski – and had told him about their co-star’s plans.
He didn’t heed and went down on one knee anyway, but when their short romance ended in Mexico, he swiftly ran back with his tail between his legs.
Bliss decided to pardon the 32-year-old, and they resumed their conversation, with Bliss insisting that she had no ill will towards her former castmate.
However, in a chat with People Magazine, Bliss claimed there was one exchange between the two that left her unimpressed.
‘She did text me actually when she got back from Mexico, [saying] that I dodged a bullet. And then she’s like, “Oh wait, that was mean.’ And I just didn’t respond,’ she said.
‘I just had no interest in [it]. I felt like I said what I had needed to say to her [in our final conversation].
‘I will say that I had that conversation with her multiple times. And so, I think that was more the disappointing part.’
After seeing how she was depicted in the episodes, Irina called out once more to clarify things up.
‘She did reach out to me after these last episodes dropped and just apologizing and all of that. So we haven’t talked in person or anything like that,’ Bliss added.
‘But for me, this was a year ago. This is one small little blip in my life … that was just one part of me and Zack’s story. So it’s something that I feel like I’ve really moved on from, and I just hope the best for everyone.’
Aside from her failed relationship with Zack, Irina formed a close friendship with fellow singleton Micah Lussier, which irritated viewers when they were shown ridiculing their fellow competitors for being emotional.
Irina was seen sneaking around to spy on a sobbing Amber Wilder seconds after she was spurned by Paul Peden in one especially contentious scene.
After the first set of shows were published, they were both met with harsh criticism on social media, with many criticising their actions and dubbing the pair “mean.”
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, she maintained that their behaviour was simply their method of ‘coping’ with the pods’ feelings.
‘Everything was difficult. Everyone was experiencing the whole show in a different way,’ she said. ‘Me and Micah’s coping mechanism was laughing about it. And I honestly will say on the record, 100 percent, I did not intentionally ever want to hurt anyone. [Hearing] that I hurt people’s feelings genuinely breaks my heart.
‘With Micah, we were laughing because, yes, it was very serious and it was very intense and it was very hard, so I don’t want to brush it off and say that we weren’t taking it seriously.
‘It’s just more our perspective, that’s how we coped about it; we laughed and made the best out of it. We didn’t intend to be mean or intentionally hurt anybody at all.
‘That does honestly hurt me, hearing that, and I hope I can have some conversations to fix that later.’
Love Is Blind is available to stream now on Netflix.
