Lorraine Kelly was forced to apologise after viewers pointed out an on-air blunder on Wednesday’s show.
The presenter was appearing on her ITV programme when she addressed comments from fans, which pointed out a typo during a news item.
The show was focusing on Tom Cruise’s surprise arrival in North Yorkshire to film the latest Mission Impossible at the time.
Instead of ‘Yorkshire’, the banner read ‘Yorkhire’ – and it didn’t go unnoticed.
Fans quickly pointed out the error, forcing Lorraine to apologise.
‘As someone from the north east I’m offended by… the fact the person who types up the captions for the screen put “Yorkhire” and not Yorkshire,’ one viewer said.

After pointing out the mistake, Lorraine joked that ‘the person responsible has been flogged’.
‘I have to say a huge apology to everybody in Yorkshire because we spelled it wrong,’ the presenter said.
She added: ‘It was a just a slip of the typewriter… thank you for letting us know.’
It comes after Hollywood icon Tom and Hayley Atwell were seen filming for Mission: Impossible 7 in North Yorkshire by locals.
The actors and their film crew descended on the town of Pickering to film scenes for the upcoming movie.

Meanwhile, Lorraine clearly enjoyed the pubs reopening across the country this week and celebrated by downing a shot like an absolute legend.
The presenter couldn’t wait to spend time in a beer garden as she downed a shot in celebration of the lockdown restrictions easing on Monday and shared a clip on Instagram.
Lorraine airs on weekdays at 9am on ITV.
