Before Rob insisted that he’s not trying to make a political point, he said there are ways people higher up could help further.
‘There are so many British people helping, but how much does it take for the government to reflect those British values,’ he said.
This isn’t the first time Rob has addressed the matter, as he recently branded the UK’s response to the Ukrainian refugee crisis as ‘a real national embarrassment.’
He also tweeted a link to Oksana’s GoFundMe page asking for donations to help her family with ‘accommodations, food, and medical attention’ after they fled the country earlier this month.
More than 120,000 people have also offered to take in Ukrainian refugees as part of the Government’s sponsorship scheme.
The ‘Homes for Ukraine’ website where people can register their interest went live at 4pm on Monday and Primie minister Boris Johnson praised everyone involved in reaching the ‘fantastic’ milestone.
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
